TR3 Racing Secures Multiple Podiums at Laguna Seca in Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America Round 2
Monterey, Calif. (May 16, 2025) — TR3 Racing delivered a strong performance at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca during Round 2 of the 2025 Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America Championship, earning multiple podium finishes and demonstrating competitive pace.
Competing against a formidable 41-car field, TR3 Racing showcased consistency, speed, and resilience across its lineup. The weekend began with productive practice sessions and promising results in qualifying. In the PRO class, the No.29 Lamborghini Miami Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2, driven by Will Bamber and Elias De La Torre IV, locked in second-place starting positions for both Race 1 and Race 2. The pair’s performance reflected their growing chemistry and their ability to extract the car’s full potential.
In Pro-Am, Jason Hart and Conrad Geis qualified P3 for Race 1 and P6 for Race 2 in the No.67 entry. Mateo Siderman delivered a strong performance in the AM category, qualifying P7 for Race 1 and improving to a P4 start for Race 2 in the No.63 Westlake-backed entry. Sam Shi earned top-10 starts with P8 and P9 in class, respectively, while Wilson steadily improved with a P10 start in Race 1 and ninth in Race 2 in the LB Cup class.
Race 1 began with Bamber executing a clean and composed opening stint in the No.29, maintaining pressure at the front. De La Torre IV took over and surged into the lead, managing the race expertly through the closing stages. Unfortunately, a late accident just before the checkered flag ended the team’s bid for a podium finish.
No.67 earned a strong P5 Class finish despite an incident-filled race. Dean Neuls delivered a standout drive in the AM class, piloting the No.67 Lamborghini Miami TR3 entry from seventh on the grid to a P2 finish. Siderman followed with a solid P4 class finish in No.63 while Shi secured P7 in the No.98 AM entry. Wilson crossed the line P10 in the LB Cup field.
After the late-race incident, the TR3 Racing crew worked through the night to prepare the No.29 for Race 2. As the green flag flew, De La Torre IV delivered a focused and aggressive opening stint. Bamber followed, pushing the car to the limit despite a mechanical issue that ultimately saw the team settle for a P4 finish in class. The result was a testament to the team's preparation, grit, and determination.
Geis and Hart improved to P4 for Race 2. Siderman turned heads again in Race 2, guiding the No.63 to a P2 finish in the AM class. Neuls maintained his podium streak with P3 in class, earning back-to-back trophies for the weekend. Shi repeated his Race 1 performance with another seventh-place finish, while Wilson improved to ninth in the LB Cup No.37, showing continued growth behind the wheel.
TR3 Racing leaves Laguna Seca with multiple podiums and encouraging performances across all categories. As the team looks ahead to Round 3, the results in Monterey provide both momentum and confidence for what’s shaping up to be a competitive season in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America Championship.
After Laguna Seca, the Team heads back to the East Coast for Round 3 of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Season at Watkins Glen, NY June 19-21.
