TR3 Racing Shines at Road America with PRO AM Victory, with Multiple PRO, AM Podiums
Fort Lauderdale, FL (August 5, 2025)- TR3 Racing celebrated a successful weekend at Road America, earning multiple podium finishes across the PRO, PRO AM, AM Classes during Round 4 of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo season.
The No. 29 PRO TR3 Lamborghini Miami Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2, driven by Elias De La Torre IV and Will Bamber, showed speed and composure from the start, topping both practice sessions and qualifying P2 and P3 for Races 1 and 2. In PRO AM, Conrad Geis and Jason Hart (No. 67) started from P2 and P6.
In the AM class, Dean Neuls earned P2 for Race 1 and P3 for Race 2. Mateo Siderman followed closely, qualifying P6 for Race 1 and P4 for Race 2 in his No.63 Lamborghini Westlake machine. Clay Wilson continued to make strides, securing P6 and P7 starting positions for Races 1 and 2, respectively. The consistent pace and strong qualifying results set the stage for a weekend of front-running performances and podium celebrations across the board for TR3 Racing.
Saturday’s Race 1 kicked off with Will Bamber behind the wheel of the No. 29, delivering a clean and composed opening stint. Bamber maintained position at the front of the field, showing tremendous speed and consistency. He then handed off to Elias De La Torre IV, who continued to push hard in the second half to close the gap to the leader. De La Torre IV ultimately brought the No. 29 home with an impressive P2 overall finish.
In the PRO AM class, the No. 67 started from the front row with Jason Hart putting in a strong opening stint. He then handed the car over to co-driver Conrad Geis, who showed great pace before encountering a race incident on his out lap at the Kink. Geis skillfully recovered and fought his way back through the field up to P3, and ultimately to a solid P4 finish.
The TR3 AM class drivers had a standout performance, keeping clean and consistent amidst a chaotic race. Dean Neuls drove a strong race in the No. 70, avoiding trouble and securing a solid P3 finish. Meanwhile, Mateo Siderman in the No. 63 followed closely behind, finishing P4, both drivers demonstrating major skill throughout. In the LB Cup, Clay Wilson continued his steady improvement, climbing two positions to finish P4 in class.
De La Torre IV started Race 2 in No. 29 delivering a clean and competitive opening stint. In the PRO AM class, Geis took the green flag from P5 in the No. 67.
Just five minutes into the race, chaos unfolded, and AM class Mateo Siderman in the No. 63 was forced to retire after suffering damages at Turn 3, ending his race prematurely. A full-course caution followed, with the race resuming with 30 minutes remaining.
On the restart, Geis executed a strong charge to the front, taking the PRO AM class lead before handing the No. 67 over to Hart. Meanwhile, at the opening of the pit window, De La Torre IV brought the No. 29 in for the driver change, with Bamber taking over to continue the fight at the front. Bamber delivered an aggressive and skillful drive, climbing back up to P2 overall.
Hart, too, delivered a stellar performance in the second stint fighting from P3 back to P1 in class, ultimately crossing the line with a commanding 10-second lead, securing a well-deserved PRO AM victory for the No. 67 duo.
In the LB Cup class, Clay Wilson made significant gains, moving up to P3 during the race and ultimately finishing P4, a strong result that reflects his steady progress. Dean Neuls brought home another consistent P4 finish in the AM class, earning valuable points for the team.
With just 10 minutes remaining, controversy struck when the TR3 Racing No. 29 was issued a 10-second post-race penalty after a competitor alleged the team had performed work outside of the pit box during the driver change. This decision temporarily dropped De La Torre IV and Bamber from their rightful P2 finish, jeopardizing valuable points in the PRO Championship standings.
However, after further review, IMSA reversed the penalty, reinstating the No. 29’s P2 finish and preserving the team’s lead in the PRO Championship, a fair and fitting conclusion to a hard-fought race.
After Road America, TR3 Racing leads the PRO championship, is 1 point shy of the PRO AM championship, second in the Team Championship, and Third for the dealer championship.
Conrad Geis (PRO AM No.67): “After a challenging stretch of issues beyond our control, it feels incredible to come away with a P1 finish at Road America. Huge credit to the entire TR3 team for delivering a truly competitive car, and to Jason Hart for an outstanding job behind the wheel. We came into this weekend tied in the ProAm championship, and this win puts us in strong contention as we continue the push toward the overall title. We’re more motivated than ever to finish the season on top.”
Jason Hart (PRO AM No.67): “I am beyond happy to have Won at Road America with TR3, co-driving with Conrad Geis. I can't thank them enough for having me along and I am looking forward to the next 3 races with them as we close out the year in this championship. Being surrounded by supportive people who give 100%, all the time, makes me very happy to be part of this family. The next race is Indy, and every driver wants to win at Indy, I can't wait!”
Elias De La Torre IV (PRO No.29): “Another double podium for the Road America round of the championship, and we were able to retain our points lead in the PRO class standings. Although no wins in the class, it felt as a team we maximized our efforts in both the technical and racing perspectives of the weekend. The entire TR3 Racing crew and my co-driver Will did a fantastic job all event long and I cannot thank them enough for their efforts. I’d like to thank all our sponsors and my dad personally for allowing me to pursue my dreams, and Lamborghini Squadra Corse for my selection into the YDP. Also congratulations on a mega weekend for the #67 car. On to Indy!”
Will Bamber (PRO No.29): “A double P2 finish at Road America is a fantastic result and a true reflection of the effort this TR3 Racing team puts in, day and night. From engineering to execution, everyone delivered. It’s also been a pleasure to share the car with Elias—he was mega all weekend, and I’m proud of how we pushed each other to get the most out of every session.
It was also an amazing weekend across the entire TR3 squad, with several standout performances and personal bests, including a well-earned first win of the season for our #67 Pro-Am car in their championship hunt. With only two rounds remaining, we’re going to keep pushing hard. I can’t wait to race at the infamous Brickyard in Indianapolis and represent our partners once again on one of the most iconic stages in motorsport.”
Gregory Romanelli: Team Owner, TR3 Racing
"We were initially issued a 10-second post-race penalty for allegedly working outside of our pit box. However, we firmly believed that the information provided to the stewards by a competitor was inaccurate. Following in-depth discussions with series officials and a thorough review of the incident, no supporting evidence was found. As a result, the penalty was rightfully overturned, allowing our No. 29 PRO entry to retain its well-earned finishing position.
We extend our sincere thanks to the IMSA staff for their professionalism and commitment to due process. It's reassuring to know that the rules and regulations are being applied with accuracy and integrity—allowing us to continue doing what we love and perform at our best, knowing the sport is governed fairly. Congratulations to the entire TR3 Team for another outstanding weekend. It's truly an honor to be racing with you all."
