Jerez, Spain (November 20, 2024)– The 2024 Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America season has officially concluded, with TR3 Racing’s Giano Taurino and Ernie Francis Jr. securing the PRO Championship title. TR3 Racing earned second place in the Team Championship, while Lamborghini Miami took third in the Dealer Championship. Throughout the season, TR3 Racing achieved a total of 7 wins and 13 podium finishes.

The season finale took place at the Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Finals in Jerez, where teams from North America, Europe, and Asia, (a total of 88 Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeos’) battled for supremacy.

In the first of two races of the North American Championship, the TR3 Racing duo delivered an impressive performance, navigating challenging track conditions. Their goal was to finish the race on podium to secure the championship title. Taurino and Francis JR achieved this by finishing P2 in Race 1 of the North American Championship, driving the No. 188 Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2, (sponsored by Lamborghini Miami, HCB Yachts, BitLux, and Capristo Exhaust).

With this result, Francis Jr. and Taurino extended their lead to 17 points, making them mathematically unbeatable with only 15 points remaining in the final race of the season. This victory officially secured the PRO championship title, capping off a remarkable year for both the drivers and the TR3 team.

In only his third race behind the wheel of a Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2, Elias De La Torre IV showcased impressive skill and consistency throughout the weekend. Driving the No. 129 entry, (sponsored by Lamborghini Orlando, HCB Yachts, Morgan and Morgan, and Astro Freeze), De La Torre IV made significant progress from eighth place on the starting grid to finish a solid P5 in Race 1.

In Race 2 of the North American Championship, De La Torre IV made an outstanding start, advancing to P4 on the opening lap. He continued to charge forward through the highly competitive PRO class and challenging track conditions, ultimately claiming P2, with Taurino and Francis JR finishing in P3. This result placed both TR3 Racing pro cars on the podium, further solidifying their dominance in the North American Championship.

Rodrigo Vales also had a stellar season, earning P2 in the LB Cup Championship in the No. 34 Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2, (sponsored by Lamborghini Miami and Quaker State).

After Jerez, the 2024 Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America season has come to an end, with TR3 Racing excelling in both the PRO and LB Cup categories. It was truly a memorable year for the team and its drivers.
